Inflatable mattresses are definitely
not for common, every day use, but they can be perfect for
when you have a guest over or if you need to hit the floor
for a couple of nights. As an emergency bed, inflatable mattresses
are ideal. Finding the right air mattress may require a bit
of searching, however.
An inflatable mattress that will last for years is a good
investment, so look for one that has strong vinyl, rather
than thin plastic. Also, air mattresses that have several
compartments are often more durable than just one large compartment.
You can also repair these easier, should there be a leak.
Another good thing to look out for is a surface that is easy
to clean. Over the years, grime can build up on your inflatable
mattress, so choose one that can be cleaned by just wiping
it down. Some have fuzzy top surfaces that collect dust and
lint, so if you go for one of these, be sure that you get
instructions on how to clean this type of mattress.
Depending on what you plan to use your air mattress for, you
may want different sizes. If you frequently have guests over,
for example, a double size one will allow couples to crash
on it. However, for camping, you might prefer a smaller inflatable
mattress that will fit inside your tent. There are a lot of
choices and only you can know exactly which one is right for
you.
