This may sound astounding, but
the average person spends about 30% of their life in bed sleeping
so they have the energy and stamina to live the rest of the
60% of their life with quality.
Quality starts with having a good restful night's sleep.
If you are not getting this, a big percentage of your life
is compromised and you may need to think about whether your
bed and mattress are affecting your sleep.
Here are a few suggestions for buying a mattress that fits
your needs.
1. Look for a level of support that meets your specific body's
needs. A good mattress will let you lie all night with your
spine supported in its' natural curve.
2. Select a mattress that is comfortable to you. Remember,
there are several levels of firmness and you need to try each
one out to see which feels right to you. Lie on a mattress
for at least 15 minutes to be sure you know how it feels to
you.
3. If you have the resources, don't purchase a mattress
that is the cheapest. Durability is important if you don't
want to be buying a mattress every few years or so.
4. Buy a mattress that has a warranty of 8 to 10 years.
5. When you are looking at beds and mattresses, be sure to
get one large enough for you and a partner to be able to move
around without bothering each other.
