Turn or No Turn

One of the most important things to remember after you have purchased a mattress is to turn it occasionally to avoid sagging in areas of the mattress. When you first purchase your mattress you should turn it every two weeks for two months, end over end and side to side. This helps to "break the mattress in". After the first two months, you only need to turn your mattress every three months to maintain its integrity.

When we sleep on our mattresses, many people have a tendency to sleep in one spot, which after some time can weaken the coils or springs and cause sagging. By turning your coil or spring mattress, you can avoid this and have your mattress last a very long time.

If you have a memory foam bed, you don't really have to turn it. The cutting edge technology of the memory foam remembers your posture and position only when it is heated by your body heat. When you are not in the bed it returns to its flat position. However, it's still a good idea to turn your memory foam bed every so often to help make your mattress last a long time.

We have a wide variety of mattresses available for you to choose from at www.classicbedsteads.co.uk.
