Update on Tempur share prices

Share prices in memory foam mattress-making company Tempur have remained similar to those seen over the past few weeks as the global economic crisis is still having an effect on markets.

After closing at $7.17 on Friday last week, Monday opened a little more positively and shares started at $7.43. After a hopeful peak of $7.54, prices then dropped again and they ended the day on $7.14.

After falling further still, Tuesday morning arrived with shares on $7.05 and despite a peak of $7.43, the day ended on a disappointing $7.11.

Continuing this trend, prices on Wednesday struggled to get to the $7 dollar mark and after opening on $6.94, a low of $6.48 brought shares down to close on $6.48.

However, there could be a better end to the week in store as prices rose from their opening $6.53 to peak and end on $7.22 yesterday when trading ended.

Tempur first launched its memory foam mattresses in 1991 after more than 5,000 trials, according to the company's website.
