Reading in bed 'favourite activity for women'

Settling down in bed with a good book, a cosy duvet and a comfortable mattress is a favourite pastime of many women, it has been found.

According to a study by hotel brand Mercure, eight out of ten women claim they would like more time to read in bed, BirminghamMail.net reports.

Furthermore, many said this was their favourite way of relaxing as research has found that if household duties are included they work for twice as long as men.

The study also discovered that 90 per cent of women wish they had more time to themselves every week as it would help them to feel more relaxed as well as being beneficial to their families.
