Tempur mattresses 'used for comfort in healthcare'

Tempur mattresses use pressure-relieving technology to help thousands of people get a comfortable night's sleep in bed each night.

However, in the healthcare industry, Tempur's products are also playing an important role.

According to the mattress company's website, Tempur material is used on many hospital operating tables around the world as optimum pressure relief is needed during an operation to maintain circulation in the body.

Following a customer survey, Tempur stated that of 52 patients who have been operated on "lying on the Tempur-Med Mattress, none of them have complained about aches or soreness and not one has developed pressure sores after the operation".

Tempur material is also used to create a feeling of softness and comfort for premature newborn babies in incubators because of the high level of pressure relief provided.
