Giggle your way to a good sleep
People who find it difficult to sleep at night may find that having a good giggle can help them to drift off, it has been reported.
According to the Daily Record, many sleep problems can be caused by feelings of anxiousness or anxiety.
It has been found that laughter can help to relieve stress and therefore encourages people to relax and slip into a deep sleep while they snuggle up in bed or on a comfy mattress at night.
Laughter can also help with weight loss as research shows that spending half an hour a day having a good chuckle can burn 100 calories.
Dr Helen Pilcher, of London's Institute of Psychiatry, said: "We're not advocating you watch sitcoms 24 hours a day, but laughing away excess Christmas weight is a great way to stay in shape."
