Hope for those who share their bed with a snorer

There may be hope on the horizon for people who have trouble sleeping because they share their bed with someone who snores.

A new device, called SnorePro, has been built by HBI which straps to the wrist of a snorer when they go to bed, CNET News reports

It uses Dynamic Snore Detection technology to detect when snores occur and then issues a programmable digital pulse to help prevent the problem.

The company claims this is like a partner nudging the snorer, meaning that over time, their body will be trained to move into a position which eliminates the heavy breathing.

This could be good news for the bedmates of these noisy sleepers, as it is estimated that they lose, on average, one hour's sleep every night from nudging their partner.

Another top tip to silence a snorer comes from the South Orlando Sun-Sentinal, which claims that breathing strips which can open nasal passageways often go some way to alleviating the problem.
