The International Sleep Products Association (Ispa) has elected its new head of the board of trustees for the coming year - with a Tempur representative taking the vice chair position.
Rick Anderson of Tempur-Pedic International will be second in command on the board under new chairman Charlie Eitel, with the new positions taking effect as of April 2008.
Mr Eitel commented: "We are at a major turning point in Ispa's history with the board-approved involvement of the mattress retail community."
Ispa was established 92 years ago as a government-affiliated representative body for the mattress and bed industry.
Main concerns of the organisation include continuous research into sleep-related issues, public relations initiatives such as Better Sleep Month and a British Safety Council-sponsored consumer education programme.
Classic Bed Company is the UK's premier bed store for ultimate comfort and luxury offering Tempur, Vi Spring, Willis and Gambier and French Sleigh beds.
