People experiencing disrupted sleep may benefit from a memory foam mattress, it has been claimed.
Approximately 70 million Americans claim they experience disrupted sleep and for many the problem may lie with their mattresses, according to the LA Chronicle.
The newspaper states: "The memory foam mattress is the latest type of mattress and is becoming very popular.
"The viscoelastic foam is unlike ordinary foam as it conforms to body shape rather then just gets squashed down it is very good at spreading weight evenly thereby eliminating pressure points."
A good indication that its time for a new bed is if light-sleepers find themselves enjoying a better night's sleep at friend's houses or hotels, according to the publication, which recommends spending upwards of $800 (£400) for a high-quality, long-life mattress.
Tempur-Pedic is also recommended by the newspaper for its luxury traditional inner spring mattresses.
Mattress maker Tempur-Pedic specifically designed its memory foam range to provide a form-fitting mattress that would prevent back and neck pains caused during sleep.
Classic Bed Company is the UK's premier bed store for ultimate comfort and luxury offering Tempur, Vi Spring, Willis and Gambier and French Sleigh beds.
