Tempur mattresses 'may help to relieve back pain'
Those suffering from arthritis or who regularly experience joint stiffness may find that a Tempur mattress can help them to get a better night's sleep in bed.
According to the company's website, over 30,000 doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths worldwide have recommended the use of a Tempur mattress.
Dr James Wheeler, MD, said: "It is vital that the sore joints experience pressure relief to promote healing and provide comfort in different sleeping positions."
Furthermore, results of a survey found that 86 per cent of people with back pain said that a Tempur mattress helped to relieve this discomfort.
An additional 88 per cent of respondents with neck problems claimed that a Tempur product helped to provide relief.
Tempur uses memory foam technology, developed by NASA space scientists, to create a feeling of weightlessness for anyone sleeping on one of the mattresses.
The body is supported in a straight and aligned position, the company claims.
