Employers 'should match sleep patterns and work hours'
Employers have been advised to help their staff get a good night's sleep by better matching their working hours to their own individual sleep patterns.
Online recruitment firm ClickAJob argues that conventional working hours may need a rethink, onrec.com reports.
It notes many people have different body clocks and with companies only concerned that work is done on time, it possible for them to work non-standard hours if deadlines are still met.
Kurosh Kiani, customer service manager at the firm, said: "With the technology most businesses now have, achieving this kind of time-slip working is the easiest thing in the world."
He added that staff can use time-slip to get quality time in bed as well as going into the office to network with other employees and co-operate as a team.
In September 2007, the BBC reported on a study published in the journal Sleep that revealed work is the most important lifestyle factor affecting how much time people get in bed.
Employees wanting to make the most of their time in bed may want to buy one of a range of Tempur-Pedic mattresses to offer greater comfort.
