Tempur shares on the up

Last week, shares in bed and mattress manufacturer Tempur rallied from an opening price of $7.59 to a high of $10.50 on Friday before closing the week at over $9.

Such an increase may not have seemed likely on Monday, where prices dropped to a weekly-low of $7.26, according to Yahoo! Finance.

But Tuesday saw the first signs of an upward trend, with shares opening at $7.22, reaching a maximum of $8.55 before settling at $7.88.

This pattern continued into the week, with Wednesday's prices opening at $7.90 and closing at $8.15.

Thursday saw an even greater increase, with an opening value of $8.29 eclipsed by a closing price of $8.67, despite lows of $7.76 during the day.

And at the end of the week the shares topped the $10 mark for the first time in well over a month, before closing at $9.83, the highest week-ending value since May.
