Study participants paid over £8,000 to stay in bed
How does being paid to stay in bed sound? Too good to be true?
Well a number of people in America seem to have landed a dream job, according to a report from Fox News.
Nasa are paying study participants $17,000 (£8,600) to spend three months lying down in order to investigate ways of reducing the negative effects of zero gravity in space.
Astronauts can suffer reduction in bone density and muscle mass.
In order to recreate zero gravity conditions on the ground, the subjects will lie down with their heads tilted slightly back.
Heather Archuletta, who is taking part in the research, told Fox News: "It's very relaxing at times. This is probably the most I've sat still in ten years."
In other news, a study by scientists at Harvard University has revealed children who do not get enough sleep during the first few years of life have an increased chance of being overweight.
