New parents 'argue about lack of sleep'

Some 42 per cent of new dads in the UK believe having a baby has resulted in them arguing more with their partner, a new study has found.

Research by Colief Infant Drops found that sleep problems were one of the major causes of arguments, second only to rows over money, Bounty News reports.

Furthermore, it is not just mothers losing sleep when a new baby arrives.

The survey revealed that half of those dads questioned said they got up for night feeds.

Another 56 per cent also said they regularly got out of bed when their baby started crying.

Sex and relationship psychotherapist Paula Hall said: "Having a baby can be the most bonding experience a couple can ever experience."

However, she added: "Be prepared for the trials as well as the euphoria."

As a sleep-deprived new parent when you do manage to get your head down, the last thing you need is an uncomfortable mattress.

A Vi Spring mattress provides extra support as it is designed to allow for the perfect alignment of the body.
