Many employees find they have a productive morning only to experience an afternoon slump in the afternoon, according to one holistic doctor.
However, David Tanton claims there are a number of steps you can take to make that afternoon slump a thing of the past.
First of all he recommends eating a light lunch and chewing thoroughly in order to speed up digestion.
He also stresses the importance of getting adequate sleep at night.
Dr Tanton states if you work longer hours and sleep less you will not achieve more.
He explains if you do not get adequate rest you will be less productive during the day.
"During sleep, the demand for our resources is greatly reduced, allowing healing and regeneration to take place," he added.
People who suffer from insomnia may find there is a problem with their bed or mattress.
