Early risers 'can save money'
The phrase "early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" may hold some truth, according to new suggestions from the Saving Advice website.
There are a number of advantages in getting up early, including the fact that anyone going to work could have lower commuting costs as beating the rush-hour traffic could improve a vehicle's fuel efficiency.
Furthermore, by getting in to work early a person can rack up plenty of hours of overtime before his colleagues even get into the office - another way of improving finances by getting up from one's comfortable mattress earlier.
Also, by getting up early and having plenty of time to do things, overall stress can be reduced resulting in better mental and physical health, the website claims.
Meanwhile, Real Simple has reported that choosing the right mattress can result in an improvement in the quality of sleep.
Those who sleep on a high-quality mattress, perhaps a Vi-Spring or Tempur mattress, could find that less may sometimes be more when cutting the amount of time they spend in bed.
