Mattress shoppers told to buy best they can afford
Shoppers have been urged to buy the best mattress they can afford as this can aid in getting a good night's rest.
Hispanic Business has reported that at present over 27 million Americans are sleeping on a mattress which is more than seven years old and this could be contributing to their sleepless nights.
Karin Dillner, director of communications for the Better Sleep Council, told the website: "The best quality mattress is simply the one that meets your own personal needs for comfort and support, not necessarily the most expensive one in the store."
She urged those shopping for a new mattress to buy "the best quality you can afford".
Mattresses such as the Vi-Spring and Tempur brands could improve the quality and quantity of sleep people enjoy, as they serve to support the whole body.
Other ways in which people can improve their sleep include reducing their caffeine intake, changing the temperature of their bedroom and ensuring they exercise enough.
