'Sleepwalking' for six miles
A group of men from Merseyside will take sleepwalking almost too literally this weekend.
The quartet are talking part in the six-mile Jospice Challenge walk along Crosby seafront - and will do so while carrying a double bed.
Hundreds of walkers are set to get involved in the race, which is being held to raise money for a local hospice, the Crosby Herald reports.
However, few of them will be taking on the extra burden of a large bed when they set off.
"We are all quite active and walking six miles is something we do every other day so we wanted to make it more of a challenge," sad James Douglas, one of the brave four.
One type of mattress that can offer the ultimate in comfort following a strenuous day is the memory foam variety offered by Tempur, which adapts to the shape of the sleeper's body.
