Angelina Jolie splashes out on a mattress

Angelina Jolie has invested in a new mattress to try and help her sleep, it has been reported.

The actress spent $65,000 (314,000) on a horsehair mattress after finding it difficult to rest following the birth of her twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in July.

Handmade in Sweden, the bed took around 150 hours to construct.

A source said: "Angelina is hoping she can rest better now she has bought a brand new horsehair mattress."

Angelina has three adopted children as well as a two-year-old daughter with fellow film star Brad Pitt.

With all those children to look after she could probably do with a good night's rest on a comfy bed.
