Sealy expands mattress production in Canada
It seems Canadians are keen on making sure they have a comfy mattress to sleep on every night as one manufacturer has had to open a larger plant to cope with demand in the country.
Sealy has opened the new facility in Toronto and it is more than double the size of the previous plant, Furniture Today reports. It is hoped this will allow better service to dealers.
In addition, there is a new 5,000-square foot showroom so that customers have plenty of space to browse and try out new mattresses before they make their purchase.
New sales associate training programmes will also ensure that staff are on hand to offer expert advice.
Larry Rodgers, chief executive officer at Sealy, said: "Sealy Canada has always performed well and is an important part of our overall business. We will continue to invest the resources to foster its growth."
Sealy currently uses three different types of technology in its mattresses meaning they cater for all different type of sleepers.
