New survey reveals sleep secrets
A new survey from the Better Sleep Council in Canada has revealed what people really think about their beds, mattresses and the amount of sleep they get.
According to the results of the poll, 81 per cent of people who sleep in bed with a partner say they are disrupted by the sleep behaviour of their other half and cannot get a good night's rest.
A further 75 per cent of women believe they are more considerate of their partner when sleeping, compared to 23 per cent of men.
The report also claims that seven-in-ten Canadians consider their bedroom to be a sanctuary and one expert says the bed should be the centrepiece of the room.
Karen Hirscheimer, a couples counsellor working with the Better Sleep Council, advised: "Invest in your bed. Check it regularly to ensure it's comfortable enough that you'll want to spend quality time in it when you can."
For those who are thinking of getting a new bed, a Willis and Gambier model, perhaps with a Tempur mattress for extra comfort, could be just what they need.
