The Golden Slumber cot mattress (10cm) has a core of Natural Coir Fibre (coconut fibre) Each fibre is coated in natural latex and the combination of these two products make it a truly natural mattress It is this natural construction that allows air to constantly permeate, ensuring that the mattress breathes A soft wool comfort layer covers both sides of the fibre pad, adding extra comfort The nappy area has a waterproof membrane, which adjusts over the full length of the mattress, aiding cleanliness and the choice of placing baby at the foot end of the cot in its formative months The luxurious cover features the new Rochtec material which has a quilted effect to one side and plain Rochtec to the reverse side The cover is tape edged top and bottom in a traditional style and features a full length side zip for ease of removing the cover for washing A truly luxurious mattress made using the most natural products available Upon purchase, the waterproof nappy protector is situated under the outer cover of the mattress. Parents wishing to place baby in the 'feet to foot' position within the cot should unzip the cover and move the protector to the foot end of the mattress. As baby grows, the protector should be moved up the mattress in line with the baby's lower body / nappy area, thus aiding hygiene. The cover may be hand washed and spun dried. Do not tumble dry.
