Sealy Cumbria Meadow Mattress. The Cumbrian Meadow mattress is part of the new Posturepedic Gold Collection from Sealy, the culmination of four years of extensive research into the ‘Science of Sleep’. Through this research, Sealy has created their legendary Posture Tech receptive spring system which provides a higher level of support and improved weight distribution while sleeping. Sealy has also created a zonal pressure knockout system which has been designed to remove any uneasy pressure points and therefore eliminates tossing and turning. The Cumbrian Meadow mattress incorporates 660 Posture Tech body responsive springs; these work to offer a more effective way of distributing your body weight away from the heaviest parts of your body. The Cumbrian Meadow mattress uses 7-Zones of supportive Latex and Memory Foam which is layered, this creates the pressure knock out zones, and this helps to give you a more comfortable, restful night’s sleep. The Cumbrian Meadow mattress offers a Medium comfort rating. The Cumbrian Meadow also benefits from Sealy's Edge Guard system, which consists of an outer perimeter of foam which encapsulates the spring system. This creates edge to edge support across the entire mattress surface for greater durability and comfort. The mattress is traditionally hand-tufted; micro quilted and is covered in luxurious high loft damask knitted fabric for added comfort. The cover also incorporates an innovative fibre called Tencel. Tencel feels like silk. It has natural cooling properties and outstanding moisture management that will help to control your body temperature, eliminating excess heat, keeping your body at the same temperature all night, every night. Tencel is hypo allergenic and also inhibits bacterial growth. Compared to cotton, tencel wrinkles less, is softer, more absorbent, and much more resistant to ripping. In material physical properties, tencel is more like cotton than rayon. Like other cellulosic fibers, it is breathable, absorbent, and very comfortable to touch. Tencel is very resilient; it does not wrinkle as badly as rayon, cotton, or linen, and wrinkles and creases will just fall out. Tencel feels like nothing you have ever touched - it both feels and looks sensuous.
