The offerings under the Tempur-Med banner are specially developed to prevent and relieve pressure ulcers; they are currently being utilised in hospitals and medical facilities worldwide much to the satisfaction of countless patients.

Product features

Features present throughout the entire range of Temper-Med products are;

• Waterproof removable PU-cover; this is easy to sterilise, disinfect and clean. The cover is welded to help prevent leakage and the cover can be machine washed at 95° C.
• Tempur material is covered with a special antimicrobial treatment to help ensure a high standard of hygiene.

Options available on Tempur-Med products include;

• Velour cover; these are removable and machine washable, they are comprised of a 75% cotton 25% polyester blend.
• Jersey cover; these hard wearing covers are available for bolsters, wedge pillows and wheelchair pads.

Guarantee*

The Tempur guarantee covers physical defects or changes causing visible, permanent
deformation, which is defined as a change of more than 2cm. Products come with the following guarantees;

• 3 years for pillows
• 3 years for PU-covers
• 6 years for mattresses
• Durations are Pro rata

The guarantee does not cover normal changes in hardness or properties that do not affect the pressure-relieving properties of the product. The guarantee is valid only if the Tempur product is used and handled in accordance with the directions provided. The guarantee does not cover damage to the Tempur Material caused by a leak in a cover that is more than 3 years old, or a damaged cover.

• 0-3 years: Full guarantee
• 3-4 years: The guarantee is reduced by 10%
• 4-5 years: The guarantee is reduced by 30%
• 5-6 years: The guarantee is reduced by 60%
• More than 6 years: No guarantee

CE Certification

All products in the Tempur-Med range meet the requirements of directive 93/42/EEC and are CE-labelled as medical equipment (Class 1).
