Which bed?

The vi-spring mattress has been technically designed to work best with a divan. Recently there has been a trend towards bedstead frames, but using you vi-spring mattress with a divan will give you one of the most comfortable sleeping experiences in the world.

How long should a bed last?

Good quality beds should last between 10 and 15 years, the best quality beds can last up to 25 years. The most important thing to remember is that the bed should maintain its supporting capability for its whole lifespan; it's no good buying a bed that loses its support after 5 years.

How long is the vi-spring mattress guaranteed for?

It has a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing faults, not including normal wear and tear. For full terms and conditions see the certificate.

Are firm beds better?

The short answer is no. As long as the bed provides the correct level of support for your body type whilst remaining comfortable you will be ok.

Does my vi-spring mattress need turning?

Since April 2004 all vi-spring mattresses produced have optional turning; this essentially means that it is not necessary to turn your mattress. All mattresses produced before April 2004 will require turning; it is recommended you follow the guidelines in the "caring for your bed" booklet.

If you are unsure when your mattress was produced you can check the label, those produced before April 2004 will be marked "Turn Regularly". It is still recommended that you turn your mattress intermittently even when it is not explicitly stated that you should do so.

If your vi-spring mattress requires turning it is advisable to do so once every two weeks for the first six months. After that it is advisable to turn once a month; it is important to stick to a routine and make sure the mattress gets an equal amount of pressure on each side and end to end.
